Countdown to the New Year at Halflab
Go figure, it's almost 2019! Eighteen years ago, we started formulating the plan that became the House Around Lisa, (Neil)Fred, Louise, and Brandon. Since then, we've celebrated seventeen house birthdays, thrown many parties, and spent countless hours writing these invitations. We hope you can join us at our sixteenth New Year's Eve party, which will also commemorate a year in our new house!
In keeping with the Low-Stress Potluck(*) tradition, don't spend more than fifteen minutes contemplating what food or drink items to bring. You can always go for teeny-tiny cookies or a baker's dozen of donuts – any contribution is welcome! We'll provide sparkling beverages to toast in the New Year when the clock strikes twelve.
You can wait until the eleventh hour to show up, but if you do, you'll miss some of the quality socializing, Rock Band, and board games. There's no dress code – wear a ten-gallon hat, or come dressed to the nines. Arrive hungry, or after you just ate. If you find yourself at sevens and sixes, we'll sort you out. Relax, take five, and enjoy the festivities any way you like!
The four of us look forward to seeing you. We'll give you three-to-one odds you'll have a great time at Halflab! (If you say you can't make it, we might give you the third degree, but you won't be drawn and quartered... Okay, now we've really done a number on this invitation.)
