HALFLAB's First Prime Birthday The House Around Lisa, Fred, Louise, And Brandon is two years old! Amazing how time flies. As I'm sure you all realize, the second birthday is especially exciting because it's the first prime birthday (for the less mathematically-inclined -- no, 1 is not prime). We figure this is a prime opportunity to celebrate, and since it's been far too long since the last one, we'll be holding another Official Halflab No-Stress Potluck(*). As Halflab enters its terrible twos and begins to test its newly acquired primality, we invite you -- as well as any friends, sweeties, children, and/or pets (primates or otherwise) that you want to bring along -- to come by for fun, merriment, and perhaps some number theory, on the 17th day of the 5th month of 2003, starting at 11 minutes past 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and going until late. As usual, we have plenty of crash space (primarily for those coming from far away) (though certainly also for those coming from nearby), and a hot tub (primarily for those who are ... cold and/or dry?), each of which will very likely be made use of by at least someone. And of course, you are also encouraged to bring juggling props, toys, games, puzzles, and any other implements of merry-making. Furthermore, as usual, you should not feel obligated to bring foodstuffs, but, well, without creating any stress surrounding the issue to counteract the "No-Stress"(*) premise of the event, we most certainly encourage people to bring artifacts of an edible nature. For one thing, if more people supply food items, there will be greater variety in the set of food items available from which to partake. (And from what I hear, variety is good when it comes to this sort of thing. But what do I know?) We'll probably fire up the grill around 7:13pm, or thereabouts. RSVPing -- probabilistic or definitive -- is possibly useful, but certainly not of primary importance. Anyway, here's the quick reference:
Primally, -- Lisa, Fred, Louise, Brandon (*) For those who may have lost their primer, or who never received a copy of the primer, the proper explanation of the term "Official Halflab No-Stress Potluck" can be found at http://www.halflab.com/party/ ... |
